The Story of Jill's Healing
by Jack Hottel
(as told to John Wellday)

My wife, Jill, fainted and fell on the kitchen floor, bumping her head on the tile, glued to concrete. She was alone. When she regained consciousness she was unable to get up from the floor. She had lost her sense of equilibrium. When I returned home I found her sitting in the corner of the kitchen. Her equilibrium loss was so bad that it was nearly impossible to get her to bed.

This happened in 1985 in Orlando, Florida. Then started a series of clinical tests. I took her to every doctor's clinic that anyone suggested. Days turned into weeks; and weeks turned into months. I spent a great deal of money. No one could help her. The doctors all agreed that the problem was not the usual inner ear problem. Jill was told, "We don't know how to help you." Some said, "Modern technology cannot help you. You will just have to learn to live with it."

My beautiful Jill, the love of my life was an invalid. She was so brave. I was devastated. She needed help so desperately; and I couldn't help her. I would have gladly taken on the malady. I prayed, "Oh God, please help us."

Then someone told us about Willard Fuller, a minister with the gifts of healing and miracles operating in his life. We were told that his ministry was international, that over 100,000 people had been healed through him, and that he was only 90 miles away in Palatka, Florida. Friends said to me, "When you have nothing to lose and everything to gain, why not try it. You have faithfully done everything else. This man sets no fee for his services, he does everything on a donation basis, and he is not far from Orlando."

They said, "We know you believe in God, for you are praying for help. Why don't you take Jill to see him?" I called Willard. He was at home, between trips. He said "Bring her here." We made an appointment for her the next morning.

The closer we got to his teaching center the more excited I got. Maybe God has answered my prayer. Surely God did not intend that this sweet, lovely woman that he had blessed me with, this one that loved everyone and was always ready to help anyone, be forever an invalid. Maybe it was just hope, but I really think that, by the time we arrived, I truly believed that god would heal her.

I shall never forget my excitement as I helped Jill out of her car. With her cane in her left hand and arm-in-arm with me on the right, we went reeling down the walk to his office. We sat on a couch. He talked to Jill for almost two hours about the love and power of God. Then in about five seconds he prayed for her. He simply put his hands on her head and said, "In the name of Jesus, be thou every whit whole."

We walked out of his office with Jill waving her cane over head like a majorette's "baton." She has never staggered since. My wonderful Jill had been completely healed instantly. I am so very grateful to God.

We began telling others about how God heals people and how He uses Willard Fuller in the process. This is being written in 1996. In these subsequent years scores of people have called to report how God healed them and to thank us for telling them about Willard.

I understand that Willard is now eighty years old, in perfect health, still traveling all over the world in his ministry, with headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. I write this in hopes that if the reader has a need of healing s/he will turn in faith to God. He really does heal people.
